Free-Event Cancellations
What happens when a free event changes or is cancelled.
No Tonèl charge or refund
Tonèl free-event V1 issues tickets at no charge. Tonèl does not collect attendee ticket money, hold funds, or process refunds. Because the ticket price is zero, there is no Tonèl ticket charge to refund when a free event is changed or cancelled.
When an organizer cancels
The event is marked cancelled, active ticket credentials are revoked, and Tonèl queues a transactional cancellation notice to affected attendees using each reservation’s email address. The event record remains available as needed for support, security, audit, and legal purposes.
Costs outside Tonèl
Travel, lodging, food, merchandise, donations, optional purchases, or other expenses arranged outside Tonèl are between the attendee and the relevant organizer or provider. Tonèl cannot reverse those transactions or promise reimbursement.
Postponements and material changes
Organizers must promptly record material changes, including date, time, venue, entry requirements, age restrictions, postponement, or cancellation. Tonèl should notify affected attendees and preserve a before-and-after audit record. Attendees may choose not to attend a changed or postponed free event.
If a notice does not arrive
Check spam, verify the reservation email address, use Tonèl’s ticket lookup or resend tools, and contact the organizer. Email delivery cannot be guaranteed, so organizers should also use reasonable event communication channels available to them.
